  • Re: CPU needed for 8002

"I think it's great to hear that there is now hope for many turntables in that we now have a qualified repairer in the states, something we've been waiting for for ages !" Are you on drugs?

I hope your experiences w/8002 give you EVERY opportunity to reap the great rewards that mine has given me: increased humility, introspection, belief there must be a higher power, interational relations, a glimmering awareness of things electric, polishing tecnique, etc. I expect it will. God works in strange ways (let me state, I'm an atheist-actually

  • Re: Help with a Beogram 4000

Mr Bozzo again, Having resolved the microprocessor I burned up re-capping my first 8002, I began restoration of the second 8002, listening to the now prisine #1 deck. My first ministration was the removal of the old/defunct dbl sided tapes that secure the aluminum platter surround, being very careful not to get any carburetor cleaner (laquer thinner

Third time's a charm! #4: We're wiser and happier now!! Happly to report that 8000 CPU "can" works nicely in 8002. (8000 CPU in 8002 "can": NG for sure, tried that too). Played music all afternoon on #1 8002 with no spontaneous erection of tonearm! Kudos to Dillen and Auric for their support on and off this board, thankyou

I am happy and wiser! Installed the 8000 "can" in the 8002 and all is well! Spent this afternoon enjoying music thru #1 8002 with #2s MMC 1 cartridge-marvelous, and no spontaneous erections of the tonearm. Cap kit #2 ordered for TT#2, aand I bid $30 on a beat-up 8002 on ebay that has broken cover and pushbuttons, no cartridge, but case is

  • Re: 8002 fails to lower tonearm

The turntable arrived and it's a home run! Physical condition near perfect and MMC1 cartridge looks new under 40X magnifier. It was described as not dopping the tonearm but the immediate problem was dried lubrication on the lead screw carrier nut that was stalling the tonearm just before the setdown position. A little cleaning and lubrication, a

We are wiser and happy! I swapped the processor "can" from my parts 8000 into the 8002 and everything works great. My only concern is that I didn't replace the capacitor in the 8000 can-it went into the now unused 8002 can. I played music on the 8002 for several hours this afternoon with no spontaneus erections (of the tonearm). Thanks

  • CPU needed for 8002

Mr Bozzo managed to put the 40 pin microproccessor into it's socket backwards, burning it up. Does anyone have one to sell. The only one that will work comes froman 8002, and -no- Dillen doesn't have one! phil

I'm not sure-the TT is "in the mail". Based on the seller's description I think the record sensing circuit is working, it just won't set down when asked to or automatically when expected to. I'm waiting for the cap kit for my other 8002 that spontaneously lifts the tonearm. I paid $200 for this TT with an MMC1 and am hoping
