  • Re: BV7 40 MKIII / SW 4.24 problem

Hi Webyx - I think you may be onto something here with the STB code: I am experiencing the following bugs in 4.24 - When Sky HD box is connected to BV7 with HDMI and Scart (for the masterlink capabilities) then seeing SKY on remote Beovisions intermittently fails (whilst sound continues). Seperate to this: - All Beovisions in a Link system can fail

  • Re: BV7 + Wii component = stand runs wild

Hi there - I had the same problem. This bug was fixed in firmware 4 and greater. It was a feature of 3.5. I would put up with the bug for a few more weeks while B&O's QA procedures for software improve as 4.24 actually has more bugs that surface everyday. Although I would say that picture quality is better than 3.5. Bugs that I am experiencing

  • Re: BV7-40 MKIII - what happened to the SD pixelisation fix?

Apparently a new version of the BeoSystem 3 and BV7 MkIII firmware gets released this Monday. Does anyone with connections into the Service systems know what the update contains?

  • Re: Need some Beovision advice from the group.

Regarding the Apple TV - the picture quality used to be poor. Run the upgrade that came out this week and try a few of the movies in the HD Trailer section and you'll see what this thing is capable of. Its not quite Blu Ray, but its equal to the HD content from your cable or satellite receiver - also you'll get 5.1 surround through the HDMI

  • Re: Alternative to the 7-40

Having had both a BV3 and now a BV7-40 MKIII, I have to say some of the comments surprise me on this thread. Here is what you'll see as a difference: - Firstly, the BV7-40 will optically look tighter in the room than your current BV3. I found that by not having the large B&O storage unit beneath the display ultimately made the television not

  • Re: Apple TV, Take Two

Just want to let everyone know that if they set the ATV to 1080P when connected to a BV7-40MK III or BS3 equipped system, there is a bug which causes white flashes down the bottom left hand-side of the screen. Best to set back to 720P. I think the problem may have been fixed by the 4.01 firmware update. Best, Mark.

  • Re: Perplexing BV7-40 PS3 problem

Interesting, I've seen the same problem since I updated my Apple TV-Take2 - which is attached to a BV7-40 MkIII - and set it to 1080P (which was new in the updated software.) Same White flash down the left hand side towards the bottom. An intermittent white flash. I set it back to 720P and the problem has now gone. It must be something to do with

  • Re: Apple Tv vs Beoport

Hi there, I have a BV7-40 MkIII with Apple TV. I would say Music, Photos are outstanding on the TV. I also have an Airport 802.11N router, and the automated syncing is basically seamless and automatic - although not very quick. The Apple TV will come into its own as the video encoding quality improves. I'm also sure it will get improved software

  • Re: b&o workingon new tetevision based on windows

Yes it is possible for B&O to develop a system and apply their unique look and feel using systems other than Microsoft Windows. I imagine they have gone down the MSFT route because their engineering has experience for Windows Media, .Net and Visual Studio. They can also buy-in motherboards cheaply from outside vendors that will run the OS and applications

  • Re: b&o workingon new tetevision based on windows

This makes no real difference as to whether you use a Mac or Windows Vista computer or not... So don't worry on that front. This looks like a repeat of the mistake they have made with BeoMedia. What is at issue is B&O's selection of Codecs and what they end up supporting as a result and the fact that they will likely skin a Microsoft environment
