[quote user="Heribert"]It seems B&O really wants to differentiate the both BS5 versions and keep the BM5 selling. Do not think it is a good way to not allow basic functions like two way remote or high quality audio codecs - it is still a quite expensive product. Better would be to add some official video playback function to really give

A while back, I used my Time Capsule to stream content to a PS3. It required a program called MediaConnect. However, a problem with the Time Capsule was always getting it to "wake up." I wouldn't recommend using the Time Capsule for this purpose.

I'm finding that some of the doors on my aluminum BeoSystem 1 cabinet no longer have the correct resistance to close very slowly like they did when new. Rather, they snap closed right away when I let go of them. Does anyone know how to fix this to get back that nice slow, smooth movement?

[quote user="Keith Saunders"] [quote user="beojeff"] The PUC is about 2 years old. However, this would seem to be a problem with the template on the Beo5 configuration program, of which I used the latest version. There is no logical reason why the hard buttons should not respond on the first page but do when moving to the second

[quote user="Keith Saunders"] [quote user="beojeff"] One problem I've find with the generic Samsung blu-ray template on the Beo5 (for use with the B&O PUC; not the direct IR control from the Beo5 to the Samsung BD) is that the green and red buttons do not respond on the first page on the Beo5 menu. Rather, you have to go

The BeoSystem 3 in the U.S. has been updated to include videolink. My BS3 has a connection for videolink and options for it in the menu setup. However, I haven't explored this since all of my video sources now are HD.

Sadly, this is something you'll need your dealer to do for you. I would recommend having your dealer load extra items for your PUC just in case you might need them later. For example, Apple Remote (for Apple TV), Sony PlayStation 3 (which is also a great blu-ray player), Generic Samsung Blu-Ray, Generic Sony Blu-Ray, etc. Sony and Samsung are pretty

Correction: The unit you're looking at only has one HDMI output. That unit looks just like mine with the brushed aluminum top but yours only has one HDMI ouput instead of two. It's the Samsung BD-D6700 that has the dual HDMI output.

If it's similar to the BeoSystem 3, you probably need to go into the "menu" settings (perhaps pressing "menu" twice?) to see the setup of your connected devices. In that menu system, you can see what devices are available to you in the PUC. The PUC items depend entirely on what your dealer programmed for you based on the needs
