How should these reviews from What Hi Fi be regarded? The other items from B&o that they've reviewed scored good to excellent in their tests. So it seems they are not singing in the Bash-B&o-choir.

Just read a review of the Beosound 9000 on the site of "What Hi Fi", a negative comment was written on the sound quality of the CD-player, "there are better sounding CD-players". What are your opinions about the sound of the 9000?

Best recordplayer? I thought the old "Thorens"-B&o was the best "B&o"badged recordplayer?

Beolab 8000 are B&o design icons, but they are design icons from yesterday. Just like a Beolab 5000 is a design icon. In the world of industrial design things move on, and more so in the world of consumer electronics. But B&o stands apart here by their relative timeless design/ philosophy. Nearly every single B&o product is a designclassic

Frankly, I wonder why the 8000/2 are still around at all after all these years. If there's an item to stop in the B&o range it should be these, the styling is out of date to me, these pillar-like speakers are not special at all anymore because almost any other audio-brand as copied the idea. More importantly, sonically, they are not worth the

Bought a new MX 4200, which can handle both 4:3and 16:9 pictureformats. I don't understand how this should work; most broadcasts are in 16:9 these days, leaving the upper and lower part of the screen black, but setting the format to 16:9 further increases the black portion of he screen, ending up with a smaller screensize than with the pictureformat

Recently bought a MX4200 TV, with a new Beo4 remote control. The Beo4 (I used a older version with my MX7000), differs quite a bit from the older one; the surface is blue-grey instead of silvergrey (old one) and the casing has a rougher, less polished finish/feel to it. I didn't know the consecutive Beo4's did differ that much, I thought only

@Alex; Agreed, the Beosound 5 is a very good design, I think Mr Hermansen does his job well. His A8 headset also is a much copied masterpiece. Nevertheless I think the beocom 5 will prove to be a mistake, has nothing B&o to it, for shure isn't going to be a classic design, it simply doesn't stand out of the majority of phones on the market

"old hissy FM"?? My experience with the Beosound 1 is one of very good FM reception, even better sound than coax cable. Most people listen to ipod with compressed music files so I wonder were this ipod adoration comes from.. Besides as a design it's really a work of art. It seems to me that the same cannot be said of the new B&o ipod

Ipod can be connected at the AUX input, as with even much older B&o gear. I think the Beosound 1 is a very good radio/speaker, especially excells at vocals. At this specific point even beter/clearer than the beolab 3 I think.
