• Re: Beolink Active as an independent pre-amp?

Stefan, thank you so much for havings tested you BL Active for me. That was very kind of you.
Are there Link Options that would affect its Standalone behaviours ?
Interesting question indeed... I could not find any installation guide/user manual on the site.

Hi Stefan, I am glad to read that the MCL2AV can work standalone. I would be thankful if you can try with the BL Active as well, that would be very much appreciated. I understand that Beoport would be the recommended option, but I for some reason I may not follow this route. Again, many thanks in advance for testing your BL Active standalone. Kind regards

I did consider a Beomaster indeed, but this would not work for me because I want to hide the hardware and have a separate IR sensor on the wall, hence the Beolink Active idea.

  • Beolink Active as an independent pre-amp?

I am considering a 'light' B&O setup for one of my places. Contrary to my other full B&O systems, this one would consist only of a MacBookPro and a pair of Beolab speakers. I would not need a complete B&O audio master (i.e. incl. radio and CD player) in this setup: I would only need some sort of B&O pre-amp which would just enable

  • Re: beocenter 9300 vs 9500

Is there a way to fit 9000 brushed aluminium panels to a 9500? Is there a genius to do that here? I am so nostalgic of my first 9000 but I don't want to miss the 9500's bidirectional IR and PowerLink connections... Thanks and regards, js

  • Re: Beomaster 7000 external IR sensor
There's no such connector on Beomaster 6500, so I don't suppose it would've been brought back for 7000. So there's no off the shelf solution
Too bad... Thank you anyway Tournedos.
the AV 7000 can use an external IR eye
Beojeff, thank you for that. As you say, AV 7000 is different. Actually, I cannot find the appropriate connector on the Beomaster 7000: is there any?
using the external IR eye blowing a fuse in the AV7000
Does the same occur with

  • Beomaster 7000 external IR sensor

Dear all, the Beomaster 5500 has a 6 pin DIN socket for connecting the external IR sensor type 2001. Very useful in large rooms or when hidden in a cabinet. Does the Beomaster 7000 have a similar connection? In other words: is there a way to connect an external IR sensor to a Beomaster 7000 for use in the main room (i.e. without using a MCL2A)? And

  • Re: beocenter 9300 vs 9500
Earlier 9300's had polished panels and the later ones had matt panels.
Are the later 9300 matt panels exactly the same as the 9000 brushed panels or is it a different finish? Thanks, js
