hi i have just bought a beosystem 2500 (in new condition) but when i play any of my tapes they sound strange a bit warbley (like a bird's noise) i have cleaned the heads but still sounds the same? does anyone have any idea's i.e bad capacitor's. many thanks mark

its fairly easy to dismantle on of these (i used a big hammer LOL) there are small covers over the screws on the rear but you only need to remove the two outer ones at the bottom of the top half (for the glass) and the other two are under the ir cover. the service manual is on the site for download http://www.beoworld.org/manuals.asp?cid=6&rid=44

I paid £50 for mine two weeks ago with a dented plate but wasn't going to pay 4 times more for a new plate so going to make my own (BC9500 mirrored pannel shaped to fit!) mark

thanks peter. so am i right in thinking that the amp will go downstairs near the 2500 and the 3 pin plugs just go into it and then one powerlink (fully wired 8 pin) goes from the 2500 to the amp? (i have one spare as it running a pair of pentas). mark
