Is the picture ok when viewing external devices such as dvd,vcr,satellite etc?

With the video terminal,you need to select AUX-2,for the Scart socket,and AUX-3,for the 6 pin din input.Both inputs have control pins,for priority switching.Connect the cable box to the Scart socket,but if you can disable "Scart control"in the box set up menu,it means the cable box can't override other sources,such as tv or game unit connnected

It is indeed a "Phirips" chassis(anyone else remember that classic ad,or am I more ancient than I thought!) You seem to have a problem with low width sir,almost certainly due to poor capacitors in the line drive/output stage. Any competant tv Engineer should be able to sort this,rather than a B&O service centre,who will probably never

This seems like the cd clamper is loose,not holding the disc to the turntable.Some discs are thinner and so worse for this. Very common problem with the BC9000,and replacement clamper kits are harder to find than Lord Lucan these day's!! Mines the same,but I use a lightweight ferrite ring magnet to hold the disc in place,and it works great until

Curiously,it's a different part No for the crt in the AV9000,although it's prolly just an admin anomaly?Type A66EAK220X02 seems to have been used across all the various "42" type chassis that I've come across.I can't see any difference in the two circuits.I would recommend swapping 'tubes complete with their respective

I remember now the cd ones are different,and I have a set of both!Don't know why I've got them tho,hope I did'nt leave them out of someones equipment?Prolly got them as part of a "pandora's box" of Beogoodies?Yours if you need them sir,foc! Nick

From the above experiences,it seems that the boxes switch on automatically during the early hours,I guess this is to download the channel guide and new software? The one I had trouble with was random though! The Mx seems to respond to a play signal or noise via the Scart cable (pin 8)I wonder if setting the tv input as decoder makes this more likely
