Not familiar with BeoSystem 2 (never came to the US); but are both of you using the fully wired PowerLink Cable to drive the passive kit /amplifier?
-
6002 & 802 are likely to break cover sooner than October. And they are more a 'refinement/update' than a 'new direction' or a 'new product launch', don't you think?

The BeoVision Avant/US. Hands down. For it's time. The BeoLab 5's are also OK, if you like that sort of thing.
That is as sharp as can be, wow! The only time I saw a BV7 was in my dealer about two years ago and they had terrible feeds, an absolutely disappointing picture. Thank God you posted these pictures, I want one super bad now!
Evman, whatever you do, do note stare at the BV-7/55...no, really...

As usual, Jeff is on point. As an aside to all of this...the question of the PoweLink socket crops up every so often...so a little help there: The 3500 was originally released as the LCS-9000 at the end of the MCL era. My intent here was simply to point out to those pushing B&O to adopt 3D that, perhaps, once again, slow and steady may win the race. Now, I do recall some work being done 30 years ago or so which created a 3d image

Obviously I meant 'slow'...too early on a Sunday. An interesting article over at Gizmodo.... http://gizmodo.com/5592956/is-3d-already-dying?skyline=true&s=i Perhaps the gnomes in Struer were wise to wait a while after all?

Given your musical choice, I would go with the 3's, especially on their own; but since you're using a subwoofer, it will be critical for you to decide if you prefer the crisp, openness of the 8000's to the speed and muscle of the 3's. Certainly it is a matter of taste, with a woofer providing the one thing the 8000's clearly lack
