Hi, You'll need to connect the Powerlink cables as well. Powerlink will give the speakers the signal to turn on/off. The speakers will sense when there is a digital signal and automatically switch to that - otherwise it will use analogue (Powerlink). With my 5's I only received the Powerlink and link cables. Hi, I purchased the plasma protected IR (8087030) a year or two ago direct from Lintronic and it works fine. From memory it cost about $100.00 AUD. Much better than the $250.00+ AUD I was quoted at the dealer for the same thing. I just looked and they are still available on the Lintronic website for 93.00 Euro + GST/Vat. Peter
