Yes, I went from having two nicely working Bg4000s to having one, after the support broke off during a cartridge change on a new one I found. Actually surprised by the apparent flimsiness of the design, so handle with care. It's possible that the lip had been damaged before the player got here, but I am approaching any cartridge change on my remaining

Here it is with the 9"-arm and the SP9 Gold pick-up. A very distinct difference in soundstaging between the two pick-ups, but with very pleasant results with both. The SP1 delivers a very wide and high soundstage, where the SP9 is comparably more modest, staying inside the boundaries defined by the speakers. But both are playing music in ways that

A shipment arrived today. I opened it up and found everything as it should be. Here's a quick photo, in lighting that's not ideal, but just to share my general pleasure at what's joined my Beolab 5000 system. I'll add better photos tomorrow, as well as a detailed description of what I'm hearing. So far, very good!

So what did they do? Put them in a pick-up truck and try to break the speed record along a narrow, winding road, with the speakers unsecured in the back?

Thanks for the suggestions. Encouraging to see others have found themselves in similar trouble. (Encouraging from the POV of being able to mend things). Hmmm - my Soundsmith cartridge has always been a tight fit on my Bg4000, but it's worked without problems. The other day I got my other Bg4000 back from the shop, and reveled in the nice sound from it. Today I wanted to try the Soundsmith cartridge on it, and when removing it the dark "lip" that one slides the cartridge on to came along

B&O doesn't need new products as much as it needs consistent messages about what they are up to, and what they desire to do for their customers. The music industry is now ready to deliver 24bit/96kHz files through the dreaded unmentionable world's largest music store - they are going to make copies of the studio masters, before they are

When I am in option 0 I need to prwss CD to get the output from the soundcard recognized by the BL5s. i then have the Beomaster in the loop. When I am in option 1, the output from the soundcard takes presedence over everything else (s/pdif). But if I switch off the soundcard, then what comes down LINE is recognized. i have my surround processor delivering

I can read both Danish and Spanish. What's the problem? The Spanish site is very active.
