The only explanation I have that people who do not have B&O buy it in an Apple store and get introduced to the brand. For sure they moved through quite a few of A8s when they were sold.

Their Ipod speaker for me is returning to the old crappy way. That has nothing to do with serious audio. Maybe they have volume on ythis selling it in the Apple store. Maybe they will add airplay in a year or 2. Airplay is not even in the market, we do not know how well it will work. I can stream form Itunes today onto the Airport Express or Apple TV

I am guessing you might be able to add some sort of game controller ... maybe use the ipad or itouch or iphone for that .... That it does IOS with the APP market place offers all kind of possibilities I guess. I know the things I would like it won't do, accessing my network disk. Even though I have streaming on Ipad and TV I rarely use it, so getting

>>And people who purchase hi end equipment such as B&O want to have a high end phone that's exclusive? << Obviously not since Serene and Serenata didn't sell. I think this will be a very tough market between Apple, Google, RIM and whoever else is there. Vertu is covering the premium market. Ice Power is just another B&O unit

I think it's obvious that it will run IOS apps, for us in the US that means Hulu Plus, Netflix and ABC and I am guessing more would follow. I am hoping they retain the existing ATV remote since I can control this through the STB. Other then that, I doubt it will reach out to NAS or other external storage. I can do that on my IPAD but I haven't

What changed ..... Apple Lossless?

I am sure that DVDs and CDs will stick around for some more years, 5 at least. But digital media will play an increasing role and thats why a proper video and music strategy is important. The BS5 to me is a start. I don't think it is selling much though, maybe they can re-ignite with a 2 way remote. Even though for me apple lossless and gapless

If you look at the history of Ipod docks, they are a somewhat fragile beast, meaning as Apple releases new Ipods or Iphones it may just stop working at some point sooner then later. This is not a product that you can keep around 6 or 8 years, more 3 or 4 if at all. Your Beolab 4 speaker will connect with pretty much anything that you throw at them

It's using embedded XP, not the normal XP license. There is no support issue with that to my knowledge. I think they are in way over their heads with this. What I hate is, that TV's get so much attention yet they are missing the train on Music. I will give it another 1 or 2 years, then I will pull certainly pull the plug and give up waiting

Just out of curiosity, did you try making the BS9000 the slave? Put it into option 0 and have the BS5 in Option 2? We keep having discussions about it. general rule is, no 2 audio master on the same network. yet there were some customers like myself that have BC2 and BS9000 and so they allowed the BS9000 to be put into the slave mode in late software
