You can adjust the strengt of the IR on the latest Beo4 (1710). It can be adjusted in steps from 1 to 7, with 1 giving approx 5% IR power and the default value is 4. This could be handy in a store, or if you have an open floor plan with e.g. the living room and kitchen. I would recommend to use the standard setup menu on the Beo4 and select "RESET

The 7-40 may go, but the 7-55 will be around for some time - especially with the coming screen (3D): making it to B&O spec made it so

It is always difficult to base a purchase on "speculation", but I guess it is obvious that the 7-40 will be dumped in the not to distant future. The 10-55 will sell for less, and the new BeoVision will offer the same picture quality for even less. If you like the 7-series and/or find the 10-series a bit dull, then you will like the new model

Den store forskjellen mellom BeoMedia 1 og BeoMaster 5 er kanskje at grafikken blir håndtert dedikert i sistnevnte. Har dere vurdert å installere et grafikkort i BM1? Vet dette har blitt gjort med stort hell (mindre hakking/frys pga overbelastning av CPU). Roger

I liked the fact that even if my BM5 doesn't have a wifi-dongle, antenna etc, it worked through the Apple Time Capsule. And there was no delay when switching between albums/tracks. Problem now is that my LG Win7 doesn't compare to my iPhone with respect to internal storage - I guess a memory card will sort this out, but I do hope that an iPhone
