Sounds like a fault in the Beomaster - possibly in the DIN connection panel. Does a CD player work ok? If so, remove the two extra pins in the Beocord 5000 DIN plug, and then attach it via the CD socket and see if it works then. You will need to select CD on the Beomaster and work the tape manually. If this works ok, the problem is the socket panel

It is a PIN code issue probably. Five incorrect entries cause the television to shut down for three hours, during which remote control access is not possible. The display shows "WAIT". In this situation, only periods when the TV is connected to the mains, i.e. is in standby, count. The period of three hours cannot be bypassed by disconnecting

They are wonderful machines - I had one which still had the plastic over the controls , which I stupidly removed. I gave it to Tim as I really never used it. It needed the tape brake sorting but apart from that was perfect. It is the one that appears in the Jarman's book. The build quality is fantastic - as it should be - these were very expensive

I did have one for a while but gave it back as it kept breaking - the hinge motor kept staying on and running the battery down. I had it fixed once but it did just the

I don't think any of them will disappoint. 3s are lovely compact little speakers but some people do find ALT speakers can sound rather forward in the treble register. The bass also gets confused at higher volumes (blame the ABRs) and they are quite expensive. I think they are great though! I do like 4000s though - good well balanced speakers.

[quote user="Kokomo"] [quote user="Peter "]I do however agree with Paul that the DVD1 was not a high point in B&O design - the best part of this machine was the ability to integrate it - that actual DVD player was very basic. They did change the player to a Pioneer in its later incarnations, though whether this was actually any

As with all companies, there hits and misses. B&O are no different. I agree with Trip that the CD mechanisms made initially by Philips but later by a spun off company are some of the best available. Do remember that may of the so called top makes actually use computer drives which are far cheaper and have nothing like the build quality. I do however
