  • Beogram 4004 Trouble

Hi Vintage Community, I recently bought a Beogram 4004 (5525) on ebay. It arrived in decent condition on my doorstep. However, after plugging it in the following happened: Pressing "start": The platter started spinning. The 33 light and the sensing arm light came on, but the slide did not move. Pressing "33" Lights came on briefly

  • Re: How to Open a Beomaster 1900 in Style??

Hi Martin, I opened it up per your advice. All went well. I plugged it in and started measuring. It seems that the 15 V circuit is coming on. After I touch any of the program inputs TP15 goes to 15V. Also, the standby diode goes off indicating 15V indeed arrive at its other end. However, it seems that the relay RS1 does not switch. After touching an

  • Re: How to Open a Beomaster 1900 in Style??

Hi Martin, Thanks for the input! My seemingly stupid question about opening the 1900 is rooted in my experiences with my BM8000 where it took me a while to figure out to get in there "in style". You may not recall, but we were in touch via email last year regarding a BG 8000 tachodisk and belts for my BC 9000, and I gave you a quick rapport

  • How to Open a Beomaster 1900 in Style??

Hi Vintage B&O Fans: I just got myself a Beomaster 1900 with good looks but some malfunction. It does not come out of standby (only the standby light goes off, but nothing else happens when touching any of the inputs). I was wondering what the best way might be to open it for service? Can one simply take off top and bottom to find the board mounted

  • Beogram 4004 Remote Start/Stop Question

I like the Beogram 4004's looks much better than those of the Beogram 8000. Hence I am wondering, is the start/stop remote control function of the Beogram 4004 downward compatible with the datalink interface of the Beomaster 8000 (or in other words, would the 4004 start playing when pressing Phono/ stop playing when selecting a different source

  • Re: Beocord 9000 Recording Level

This meaning Tape 1 DIN and Tape 2 RCA connectors have the same electrical signals on the 8000? Thanks!

  • Beocord 9000 Recording Level

A Beocord 9000 riddle: I have it hooked up to a Beomaster 8000 via the correct B&O 7-pin DIN datalink cable. On the underside of the 9000 there is a switch with which one can switch between DIN and Line levels. When I received 8000 and 9000 this switch was set to DIN. After fixing the 9000 (thanks for the belts, Martin!) I tried to make a recording

  • Beocenter 9000/9500 Viability

Dear Vintage B&O Community: I am toying with the idea to get myself a Beocenter 9000 in currently working condition. I am wondering if anyone had some input with regard to the viability of maintaining this elaborate machine? Is it at all possible to keep the CD and tape working properly over time? How about the door mechanisms? Any show stoppers
