• I gave up my B&O receiver (Beosystem) for an Onkyo!

I have had a Beosystem 1 receiver hooked up to my non B&O TV (samsung) for over a year now. Unfortunately I don't have the funds necessary to purchase a B&O TV so I make do with what I can afford. I suspect a lot of others would like to integrate their B&O speakers into a home theater but can't afford a B&O TV. I have seen a
BL1000 or Beo4 can be bought cheaply so having one of those is recommended. One-way remote for basic use, two-way remote for advanced use or for demonstrating to friends!
Well put here! Get the one-way remote for day to day use if you must, but get one of the two-ways if you want to be BeoCool!

Here's the deal: Beolink 1000 and Beo4 are fine remotes for the BC9500. I have a BC9500 and a couple of Beo4 remots. You can find one easy and for relatively cheap. HOWEVER....they are boring. Beolink 7000s are really cool. I have one of those too. They are fat and cumbersome but simply awesome to have and collect if you have the money. I wouldn't

  • Re: Using a non B&O remote

Lintronic is great if you want to spend a huge amount of money and fiddle with programming a lot. A Logitech remote will work with B&O Heck, I just taught my Onkyo receiver remote that has a learning function some B&O commands...didn't think that would work but it did.

  • Re: Which TV should I buy?
The problem is that the flat screen market is developing. I don't think LCD/LED is it. I had a BV10 and it did have a great picture but only OK sound. I now have a BV5 with great sound and a good picture (early one). In fact, better than good. I still have to see a picture as good as my LX on an LCD set though. Now

At the end of the day its a £700 Samsung screen with B&O speakers and nice plastic.
This is so wrong. It's not just a Samsung in a nice cabinet. Yes the screen is from Samsung -but B&O has put a lot of effort into picture processing curcuits. B&O has a

  • Re: Which TV should I buy?

The problem is you aren't going to ever see an independent comparison of a top of the line, CALIBRATED plasma from Samsung (8000 or even 7000 series) or Panasonic (VT series) vs. one of the Beovisions. I'm guessing if you did you would be surprised...
OK please if you are going to post something like this, do one of two things: 1) Click "copy" and "paste" the link. It's really not hard to do, and all of these people who can't find it are wasting time when it could have taken two seconds. 2) If it is not quite as simple as #1 above, then

  • Re: Does the B&O IR Eye work with non B&O equipment

Thanks for all the help here! I suspected the IR eye would only receive the frequencies of the B&O remotes. Much more complicated than I imagined!
