  • Re: Beosound 8 quality

Moxxey, the orange grilles on the BS8 look amazing fantastic!!! I managed to have a full 'private' play with the BS8 on Thursday. Sorry I havnt had the chance to post yet so incredibly busy. Must say, I was shocked with that cheap B&O remote though, super cheap plastic and very un-B&O... review to come :)

"Overall, BS8 is soft, and pleasantly mellow with good mid and low details that I did not expect from a small system." This is what im finding with B&O. Great for warm sounding Radio 2 and Jazz/classical. But, I find it not suitable for playing my dance music tastes. My Century sounds totally lifeless with dance and RnB music which of

Definately agree with Opman. Yep, take your own iPhone or iPod with you and indeed play with the sound settings as we all have our own tastes - I demand an incredibly bright sound with good bass, full of life whereas some purists like it flat!

Taking a guess, i'd say the BS8 due to it's bigger speakers and 210w power output. Try and get a home demonstration. That's something i must do as the only place ive ever one was in Selfridges, London and it sounded very boomy with no clear treble notes. A guy next to me walked away in disgust after commenting on the lack of treble to the

I totally applaud the young guy. I find his work inspirational with a soul and certainly wish him the best of luck. I'm sure that he's spent many years studying incredibly hard for his qualifications. Certainly more worthwhile than just going out and buying another B&O product! It's easy to criticise his work but come on, just look how

I wont want to dock the iPad because id really like to use it whilst im listening to my iTunes or just leave it on a coffee table so its within easy reach that's why Airplay is appealing. I'd of thought it would only add £100 to the rrp?

Hehe Edouard, that's actually a very good comparison as both of those cars are super good in their own way! Actually for the price of BL5 you could buy a new Cooper S - now youve stopped smiling hehe

I much prefer the idea of Airplay than Airport Express - no extra boxes, cables and stuff to plug in and connect. But, each to their own I guess!
