The motor of your tapedeck might have some issues which probably caused a fuse to blow. Check fuse F2 on PCB3. This fuse is for the powersupply of the motor of the tapedeck but also for the 15V supply for several other functions of your BeoCenter. This would explain a lot. If the fuse is blown, don't start the tapedeck after you replaced the fuse

The NTC is placed on a very small PCB which is screwed to the heatsink.

I don't know how technical you are. You could simply disconnect the NTC, if the amplifier switches on after that it must be the NTC. Maybe another way of checking, does the ML/MCL converter switch on very briefly (led turns green and red directly after that) if you choose a source in a linkroom? You can order an EEPROM that is not preprogrammed and install this in your BeoSound. If this does not work you might need a new processor and a preprogrammed EEPROM. But of course it is also possible that something else is wrong, that is something I can't see from here.

I hope we are just talking about the feathers. A complete chair up there is not my idea of comfortable......
