Hi jf The beomaster is in my opinion a good choice great sound but the only backdraw is that it needs a special remote control MCP 5000 so be sure there is one.You can connect most b&o units to the 5000 as it have datalink maybe one need some small modification regards jan

HI They are 2 pins din plugs for speakers if you are looking for a b&0 cd player in the US try maybe E bay but be carefull many of them have trouble with the cd unit,It can be fixed in most cases but an autorised b&o dealer/repair plant will say it's not possible they don't know better regards jan

Hi Paul? The second part of your quistion about speakers you can use any 8 ohms speakers ore you can use b&0 active speakers through the powerlink sockets on the 5500.I think you can buy a beogramcd at Lifestyle AV they are sponsor of this site. There a link in the bottom of this site.I presume you are located in the UK Welcome to beoworld regards

Hi Paul? Do you have the remote control for the beomaster,if you have the best cd solution would be a b&o beogramcd 5500/6500/7000 it has the din plug(7 pin) as standard and when you connect it to your beomaster it has datalink so you can control the cd from your remote.About speaker plugs the are din standard and I think you can get them anywhere
