• Re: How do I get one of these???

Until I can afford BL5's I'd be very happy with a beogram 8002. Ultimate class in turntables! But they are pretty hard to find in Holland. But I can understand, if I had one I wouldn't want to sell it either

  • Re: Question on rosewood and restoration
Maybe this time you can buy your reward first ;-)
That is pretty tempting Ralf! Thanks for the replies, I'm going to give it a try with the danish oil and the 1000 grit. I still wonder though, what is that shiny finish layer that is on the loudspeakers? Is that from the oil as it dries? Or wax of some kind

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 (30 year anniversary coming up!!!!) Stories?
Well my story about my Beomaster 8000 is quite short and simple actually..... I don't have one!!
You should do something about that! :D The BM8000 is really great. All that mighty power, great sound and a very classy package! Unfortunately after all these years they are getting a bit cranky, mine probably

  • Question on rosewood and restoration

Hi all, I read up on the subject here but still have a question remaining before I give it a try on my M100's. From what I understand I should sand the veneer and then apply wood oil (Danish oil or beeswax). My M100's have some very nasty scratches, fortunately none go through the veneer so I hope to fix them up. The veneer seems to have a layer

  • BM8000 crackling sound in one channel

Hi all, My beomaster 8000 has started making crackling noises in the left channel. Swapped speakers, I am sure it is in the amplifier. Volume control has no effect so I guess the problem is in the power amp? It has all new capacitors except for the 4 big 10000uF cans in the power supply. The crackling gets worse as the amp warms up. Any suggestions

  • Re: beolab 6002 +8002

And I thought I understood how the BL5 worked! Nothing is ever really simple I suppose

  • Re: beolab 6002 +8002

I think it's a shame that after upgrading to compete 'digital' amplification there is no digital input like on BL5's. I'd say that (especially for B&O) class D amplification and digital music is the future, why not do away with DAC's and stuff and use the digital signal? B&O has a chance to stand out in high quality digital

  • Re: Simple question on Beomaster 8000

Could be a bad solder joint I think. Very common in BM8000 and they gave me some weird problems with faint, distorted and failing channels. Good luck!

  • Re: Redline speaker mounts
The plate is just a piece of bent metal, with hooks that grab the recess in the rear

It's just a pole (perhaps 50 mm in diameter)
Just thinking here, seems like these ceiling mounts are not hard to make for a DIY minded person, or to let be made by a metalworker

  • BM8000 after the recap: adjustments?

Hello folks, I finished the recap of my BM8000. Sound has improved greatly! It makes my M100's sing However, there are two things left I'd like to do something about: - After the recap, the tuner automatically and immediately mutes any radio station I select, unless tuning is in 'manual' mode, then it sounds better than before. I think
