No, you can choose any speakers you like for it. If you want surround sound, then the 7-1 would be a good choice but other speakers could also be used too.

Personally, I don't like to see pictures released before Bang and Olufsen officially release them. It spoils the build up for me and the run up to the actual launch.

It would be interesting to know when you bought yours TWG as I purchased mine as soon as they were released, so if you did too, then perhaps the earlier original models suffered with this problem? I would suggest staying with what you have and upgrading a lot later. Technology with TVs has taken a back step since CRT in my opinion. Its not a matter of high definition, that's just a 'gimmick market' until the next leap in technology such as laser or SED.
