• Re: Beomaster 8000 connections

I always thought of Dutch being in the middle of English and German, so I can sort of read it... Nothing is close to Finnish, except Estonian, but there are even fewer people speaking that! Be careful with the Minidisc if you need to crank the volume that high up - you might damage the speakers if you accidentally switch to another source! We've

  • Re: Is it a problem?

The year you see on the type sticker is just the copyright year for the design, it doesn't tell when the speakers were manufactured. Type 6721 is definitely a Beolab 4500. According to the serial number, this pair should be from 1994, middle of the production run That's a good price if they are in good order! (edit: let's say an OK price
Oh dear ... do I need to buy special B&o 3D glasses ?
Stop messing with my head! I read the subsection title at flatpanelshd as "Elefant giant" And yes, this TV will require glasses for 3D viewing. I suppose you could use compatible ones from other suppliers, though...

  • BeoVision 4-85"

The 85" model of BV4 has been released, with 3D. http://www.bang-olufsen.com/beovision4 I like the wording "You’ve never felt a more immersive entertainment experience than you will with these expansive Full HD 3D televisions.", I'm sure I'm not the only one to misread it
When I press the front panel in on the left side to unlock the magnetic lock, should the flap 'clatter' open or should it slowly and silently glide open?
Slowly. When the flap opens, it pulls a cord that drives a sort of air brake (you should actually hear it whirring away rather silently). My guess is the

  • Re: Beo4 Mark I remote control service manual wanted

I don't think these were ever designed to be repaired in the proper sense (they expect you to just swap the entire PCB) so I would be quite suprised if the schematics are available anywhere. What kind of info do you need, or what is the problem with the remote? If you post a specific question, somebody might be able to help.
What a superb site! I am very tempted to have a go at % thd measurements - very useful for newly restored amps! I also love his clipping detector, could do with that built into some B&O amps I could mention!
It is! I started reading through it ages ago but never finished @Guus, good to hear it works! • Re: is it worth the money?

Agreed - for £300, they would need to be completely flawless and even then you'd need to want them really bad. The same set in full working order can be found for half the price, perhaps not in the same auction though. The only hard(ish) to find piece is the small remote!
