Yes, BL1 should be fine - or Penta - as all of these (BL1 - BL Penta - BL9) are 3 way speakers. Maybe a sw update helps: I also got BL9 in the sound menu. Stefan

Was für files hast du denn per Beoconnect auf die BS5 kopiert? Waren das vielleicht koier geschützte von Itunes oder apple lossless, ie funktionieren auf der BS5 nicht. Ansonsten sollte es mit "freien" AACs keine Probleme geben, habe ich auch schon häufiger kopiert. Tatsächlich habe ich noch keine Musik auf der BS5 gelöscht

So it`s not turning to Stdby but more like shutting down. I assume the stand doesn´t turn to stdby position. I remember that there was a sw problem in the past. Did the Beo technician check SW and error codes? You will find SW and error codes in sevice menu. Press MENU - 0 - 0 - GO - MONTOR - GO - MONITOR INFORMATION - voila. Stefan
