  • Re: BeoSound 5 Photos

mason: Hi everyone. Am I missing something here? Will the BS5 offer a better user experience than running iTunes off my Mac laptop through the aux of my beocentre 2? Will the interface be better than iTunes? I am confused. Is the idea that I get a similar experience but with the B&O badge? This is not meant to be negattive – I am excited about

Excellent! I wasn't expecting it to end like that!

tournedos: soundproof: Tournedos - I do not understand how Apple makes money from their lossless format? iTunes is free, the conversion program included is free. Yes, it's free for the end user, but is it free for someone (say B&O) who might want to integrate the support into their products? That's what I was talking about. But I seriously

Now I want one of those! Just got given a (very) nice Jacob Jensen alarm clock for my birthday though, so I'm set for now...

moxxey: Alex: The BeoSound 5 is not a fancy bit of software, it is a physical, touchable, useable product! You're talking in the present term Alex, as if we can do that at our dealer, right now.. It ain't usable if it's not available :) Oh now that's just being pedantic (although of course, completely correct ).

Chrisreunion: I must say I find the design OK, but I can't help wondering: would I pay 10 times the price of a BeoPort to have what I already have with BeoPort connected to my TV ? With my PC video signal going to BV7 and a cordless mouse + keyboard, you have the same thing on a larger screen, haven't you? Do you have a BeoSound/B&O CD player

  • Re: B&O professional audiophile equipment or not....

I agree with you, it's a shame the BeoLab 3s and 5s haven't been adopted more by the professional industry. IMO this is an area B&O could persue without it negatively affecting the other areas they need to concentrate on (core competences). Most of the work is already done, they just need to supply the speakers with XLR connections and some sort of

You won't want to browse your music with a Beo4 if you can use the BeoSound 5 instead...

It makes no real difference to the end user whether or not it's Windows based, it's B&O's job to worry about that.

koning: astrauch: It is indeed a difference if you listen to a CD with a B&O player and compare that to a normal MP3, but you don't hear a difference between MP3 (or AAC) and WAV with a digital music device (PC, iPod, Beosound 2...). Re: Another direction.... Not with a beolab 8000, But when you have good loudspeakers a beolab 9 or 5 for instance
