Hello, I was wondering. When I try to calibrate an old metal cassette (with no specific holes, detected as chrome) with the calibration system, isn't it supposed to re-classify it as a metal, thus lighting the metal led? Mine stays on chrome. Also, I'm a bit worried as the values given are not very stable, once returning 5.2, then 6.2 for instance

Hello, My Beocord 2200 has arrived. Very nice bit of kit indeed. Everything, as far as I can see, looks new. To have in my hands a new cassette deck from 1974 is very impressive! The head has no sign of wear whatsoever. Amazingly, the belts are like new too, no sign of flutter or wow. Inside, everything is clean and shiny, no oxidization. It plays back

Hello, I've now got a superb Beocord 2200, in as-new condition. I think it was never really used. The woodwork looks new too, which is rare. Everything is shiny, no dust whatsoever, even the power cord looks new! It works fine too. It sounds great, as Tim Jarman said in Hi-Fi World last month. Azimuth is set perfectly, and no wow or flutter. Impressive

So Tape End only works in Open Rec mode? Is this normal? As for the LED display, I am tempted but I'd like to find a bad one first from a scavenged BM 6000! Thanks for the manual extract! Jacques

Is it normal that the heatsink get quite hot, compared to a Beocord 6000 or 8000? It remains lukewarm on standby. Can any BC 9000 owner confirm this please? Also, is the battery still available? Thanks. Jacques
