• Re: Beovision 10 thoughts before buying

To each their own; especially on matters of aesthetics, but I can't figure out why wiring is such a big deal. If you don't dress the wires they're sure to be an eye-sore, but there is an entire industry devoted to making wire dressing as discreet as possible. There are channels that run along the base of trim (for those with challenging

  • Re: Will B&O Plasma's disappear with larger LCD's like BV 7-55?

I don't think so, but not because they're plasmas, but because they're separate from their processors. Maybe they'll be released as LCDs. Basically the BeoSystem 3 being a separate entity is a much better option for many types of installations allowing connectivity to happen behind closed doors. As long as peripherals connect with wires

  • Re: Cat7/Class F New installation koncept

I have to say that when we first started discussing the Cat7 installation standard I was fairly impressed. It sounded as though it would significantly reduce pre-wire costs, increase flexibility, and make it easier for non-B&O technicians to contract out pre-wires (let alone Do-It-Yourselfers). After seeing the documentation I was left scratching

  • Re: Integrating Crestron Control to BeoSystem3

I think with all the effort it would take, the ML Gateway would make more sense. B&O have already written the profiles and created the GUI for Crestron controllers. To do it yourself wouldn't exactly get the most out of what sounds like an already sizable investment. I'd say don't reinvent the wheel.

  • Re: BeoVision 10 50'' and external Blu Ray player

Blu-Ray player? That's so 2008. They might as well build in a reel to reel. In a few more years we won't be discussing or using discs nearly enough to warrant a serious investment so why would you want to throw your money away now? It's like buying a horse and cart when there are already cars on the street! I'm not saying they're
1. You can connect to MAC without any problem.I do 2. DVD/CD cover works ofcourse to, and it´s very easy to get them
Interesting on both points, but if anything it highlights the fact that there is no support and that it was confirmed to me that it was not Mac compatible. I assume that you're
Overpriced? Not Mac compatible? hmmm please explaine!!!
When I say overpriced, I'm comparing it to two different products that I've tried: 1. WD Media (which I use the most at home): The WD media retails for $99us, and is designed to be used with a USB capable HD. I use a LaCie 1.5TB drive and

Trip, What's your opinion of the Tvix 6500, which B&O recommends for managing video libraries?
I have now apple tv for my CDs and Tvix 6500 for my DVDs.
I hate it! It's grossly overpriced for what it does and is not Mac compatible! I've found the

  • Re: Apple TV adds internet Radio

Every time I head of an update to AppleTV I have a foolish spark of hope that they'll finally open it up to a variety of video formats, but I know that would mean the total capitulation of the entire movie industry (which I would probably hear about before the AppleTV update!). I'm just sick of managing all my videos, most of which are .AVIs

  • Re: If you own a BeoSound 5 would you buy it again ?

Oh yes. I held on to my BeoSound 3200 in the main room thinking it would be nice to have all types of media at my disposal and have used it one time since whereas the BeoSound 5 plays every day. I use a mac.
