  • Beovision 7-40 stands

Is there any type of stand available for the BV 7-40 that does not have a bracket for a speaker to mount to? Perhaps a low stand for placing on a piece of furniture. I am interested in being able to use a pair of Beolab 4000s for the center channel and envision the BV7 setting on a traditional TV stand or cabinet with the Beolab 4000s below it. Thanks

  • Re: Beo4 to iMac/AppleTV

I looked at the online guides on the Apple web page. For the particular model I selected there was a diagram showing where the ir receiver is located. Hopefully the guide for your specific model will show it also. On our Macbook Pro the sensor is located on the front right edge.

I would keep the 6000s. Better match visually for 8000s. If you had ALT speakers for all of the fronts might want to switch.

  • Re: Basic Beo 5 question

So the Beo 5 shifts the PUC from what is in the TV to allow the commands from the Beo 5to pass through? Not sure I am understanding what you are saying. for example, with the Beo 4 if I get a new device that is not in the PUC menu I will need to have the software updated. With the Beo 5 if I get a new device I can just have it added to the Beo 5 and

On our BV7 MK III the Apple Remote is listed under set top boxes. It was not there originally. We had to have it added by the dealer. I do not think the Apple remote is bluetooth.

I would suggest the Beosound 9000. As it holds six CDs you would have the choice of any of the six wherever in the house you were.

  • Re: Basic Beo 5 question

Sorry, another basic question. If I am understanding the answer to my first question correctly, the signal can be sent from the BV7 to the third party source through the ir emitter, and in fact is simpler than direct control. Currently I have a Sony Blu-Ray connected and chosen in the onscreen menu. Does the Beo 5 use the same commands through the onscreen
