At least it's in the northwest corner of Denmark.
Also "the small hamlet of Sturer in the northwest corner of Denmark." deserves remark. A-- It's not a hamlet. B-- It's not called Sturer.
You might be interested in knowing that Daniel Liebekind uses a BeoSound 9000 to compare different recordings of Bach's music. Now he's an architect, but he was a competition class musician in his early years. He puts different recordings of selected works on his BS9000, and skips back and forth between them, to compare. I'd like to point

You may have a short, then. Strange, they're usually quite good, the B&O cables. Well, you should notice a difference with and without, maybe your dealer has a replacement, sometimes they order more than one when they get an order for an item. Good luck.

Look at the DVD menu, Audio Options. If there are different versions of the audio, try to pick the stereo version, instead of the multichannel. I believe that programs such as VLC can be used to convert multichannel to two-channel, but haven't tried it. Too much fiddling required for my taste!

Don't think you're supposed to use the sync-cable when you have the powerlink cables connected, and that might be the issue. Those are to be used with non-B&O attached to the speakers, and in option 1. Haven't tried the setup you're attempting myself. As to tricking the audio from your DVD. This depends upon which audio format you

Hello David, The above suggestions are intended to ensure that you get an untouched, unprocessed digital signal from lossless to either a stand-alone processor, or to the BeoLab 5 speakers, which have their own processing. If you then wish to go back and apply Equalizer settings, then just go ahead. However, you should be aware that the soundcard in

Are you using the right command in Option 4? In option 1, you press RADIO to activate the speakers, but in Option 4, you must add LINK to LIST. Then press LIST until LINK shows, and then press RADIO, in order not to activate the BeoSound 9000. Switch-off is with the regular standby button.

Make sure the volume on your BL5s is set very low when you run the first signal through the converter to them, just to be safe. Good luck! For fun, try playing with and without the sync cable, I think you'll find that the sound improves significantly with the cable -- this is due to the two speakers being in absolute synchronisation with the cable

Ah, those you can only move with soundcards that allow it, or when you have set the sound output to variable. Digital OUT is at a fixed (maximum) level, and then the sliders are locked. If you're in a playback mode that allows control of the sound level from the Mac, then you will see these lower, for instance when you're using only the analog

You shouldn't need to change the speaker configuration if you have a normal setup. That panel is mostly for surround configurations - see below. For regular L/R setups just leave it alone - if you want to reverse speakers you can do that through the panel, when you have the toslink connected.
