• Re: What would you like to see?

Take your Beolit 1000 along Peter! If I were there, I would like to see the Beomaster 8000 as it is the king of B&O amps :)

  • Re: New House - Pentalabs Sound Awful!!
First of all, don't doubt your Penta's! They are fantastic speakers and the only thing that can happen to them is foam rot. I think yours is an acoustic problem. Try several positions in the room closer or further from wall/corner. The Beolab amp is the best B&O has ever made and isn't the cause of the

  • Re: New House - Pentalabs Sound Awful!!

I was a bit dissatisfied with the bass on my Beovox Pentas when I moved house, and my new living room is a similar size to your new one. My solution might not work for you as I had the passive versions, but if I were you I'd trash the 5500 system and get a Beomaster 8000 and any sources you want to connect to it, bypass the Lab 150 amps, and hook

  • Re: Need Help with a buying decision...Beomaster 5000 or Beomaster 6000
I think he already has his own CD player and turntable.
...then he needs the 6000. No more costly to fix than a 5000 if you know the right people, though I accept that the 6000 is more likely to go wrong in the first place! If you want a complex, unreliable and expensive to fix B&O amp, you should try

  • Re: Need Help with a buying decision...Beomaster 5000 or Beomaster 6000

I agree with Beaker - I sold both recently when I moved somewhere smaller. 6000 is one of the sweetest B&O amps ever, and looks the business with the big red LEDs. If you're just wanting a stand alone amp that looks good, go for this one over the 5000 - which looks plain when not stacked as part of a Beosystem 5000. Of course, if you're

  • Re: beolab 8000 system wanted with remote in rosewood

Good luck! It took me three-ish years to find mine, and then I had to get the individual bits and have them repaired in Hampshire and Denmark!

  • Re: A True Beoworld Stalwart

I thought I was the only one who had pestered Martin with a constant stream of queries when something went wrong with various bits of B&O - but it seems there are others! Martin, your patience is legendary. Thanks for helping to keep some lovely old sets up and running, and for making collectors' lives so much less stressful :)

  • Re: BeoTime has Landed!

I'd be willing to have a bash at this - just take a gander at my Beolit 800 review that I wrote for this site. If it was rubbish it wouldn't have been lifted word for word by that Beomaniacs site (or whatever it's called!).

  • Re: Best beovox made??
Hi Mogens, I can't prefess to be an expert on this as I have never been fortunate to hear the MS150/ M150 but by all accounts by many of our very experienced fellow members (such as Peter) they are in the top few beovox.... so you have done well I feel, and would personally keep them. If you haven't changed

  • Re: Prize Draw Tonight!

Bit of a catch 22 this one, as if we knock B&O dealers for what we perceive as their arrogance or insecurity we probably end up reinforcing their distrust of the site, but on the other hand if we say nothing because we want to keep B&O on side bearing in mind the sweet prize they were offering then this wouldn't be much of a public forum
