I think that is the 5500 - just had a look at the diagrams for the 9500 - I confess to being useless at doing this - and the line in and out is before the power amplifiers and so is not attenuated output. It seems to be, as has been stated, before the tone controls as well.

I suppose at least it was a back corner. I imagine that you have a loose connection. Probably a good opportunity to examine the cross over and it could be worth replacing the capacitors whilst you are there. Very sorry to hear about this though.

Waiting for the silver base - although lifting the beast up again is not something I am looking forward to! Still using it in mono - not sure which speakers to go for. It is in our playroom/study and is in the corner to the left of my computer desk. Not really the space for floor standing speakers and I have a pair of BL3s with my computer. Thinking

Already suggested that on the official site. What you really need is the brochures that were on the Connoisseurs' site. They will return in the manuals site for gold members but possibly not in time for your project I am afraid.

Mine is an earlier one 1541 S/W1.3. I have V.Tape 2 and V.Aux on the second video screen. Can you not use V.Tape 2? I use that with my AV9000 and DVD controller. It has a Freeview decoder built in and I can control that with my Beo4 using the V.Tape2 button in the List of the Beo4.

I don't think the 9500 has RCA sockets unfortunately - mine doesn't anyway. There is a pre-amp out which is a DIN socket but using this disconnects the power amp all together which could be a disadvantage.

You can get V.Aux. Go to Panel, Set up, Components, Video, the press Other and V.Aux is in the list. Press it to activate it and then store. The BL7000 then interrogates the system to work out if it is one or two way. Should work!

I would have guessed £200 for the pair so we are clearly in the same ballpark. I got my Beosystem 5500 free when I bought some Pentas from my old dealer!

I would rate the 9500 as about 40W RMS a channel. Good if not spectacular amplifier. If you need more, use a Powerlink socket and a power amplifier - the Quad 405 is recommended by Graham and will not break the bank. Or get a pair of Beolab 200 amplifiers which will do much the same but will break the bank! By the way, to insert a link, write something
