Welcome to the forums Adi Actually, the PHONO input is the only one you should not use as it has the RIAA pre-amp, and the signal levels are not compatible with line level outputs like your laptop. Do you have the links installed between the line out - line in connectors?

Ooh. I think a "friend" of mine had one (I remember the gear lever) and I was jealous. Had to try and better it in some other way. With another friend, we installed radios - it wasn't a Beolit I can tell you!

Unfortunately it really is a gamble - somebody's idea of "power supply not working" could be anything from a blown fuse to extensive lightning damage. It might be helpful to know how the seller came to that conclusion (did somebody look at it already?), but when repairs are expected, I typically do not believe a word they are saying. I've
