  • Re: Loudness ?

It depends on the recording to me. I mainly turn it off on the BM6000 and boost the bass/treble instead. Everything played sounds good on bass 1-2 and treble -1,5. Flat sounds thin. The BM still needs a good service. The volume is in the low maks 15. It seams to ad alot of bass and the sound gets muddy. With my Beovision LX5500 the loudness is nearly

  • Re: BeoPort and Windows 64-Bit

Well good to know. I use Vista Home Premium 64bit. It works great and a bit better than XP. The system does have mediaplayer and remote for the Asus motherboard which are working good together. So far the Beosystem 6000/8000 is not connected. I will wait for the Beoport.

  • Re: New vintage B & O addict; Beovision L2502 fell into my lap = I now need aux speaker advice to pair it with.

The love of L series Beovisions. I had the L2800 and it had great sound and picture. The typical age problems had been fixed so it was pure enjoyment. The Beosystem 2000 is data link but I never got around to put the two of them together all though the system sounded good on its own. If you chose the system don't use X35 or other X series speakers

  • Re: Best Cartridge??

Well I still have my MMC20CL only used a few times as my parents prefered the MMC20EN or MMC20S they have acess to. Those 2 are old and used. That 20CL was NOS and not a mark or anything wrong. Played really good but on some records (used) it hat a tendency to jump a bit. It was used on the Beocenter 2000 so not the best recordplayer. I got no use for

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

An old record on the BG8002. Danish band called Shu Bi Dua record number 3.1976 release. It changes constantly. At work radiohits played ower and ower randomly every day. Hate it as it's mostly crap music. So at home it's been Motorhead and Megadeth to keep the song balance right. Before today some old DAT tape with me playing Hendrix tunes

  • Re: Tangential tracking turntable

I can only say Beogram 8002 as it's the only working one I have had so far. Got a Soundsmith Smc2 and it's clear, dynamic, bottom and so good that my idea of the next B&O system and dumping this is a bit hard. Main reasons a few generate faults in the BM,BG and BC to be fixed. When working then why another stereo? Again the system is half

  • Re: Best sounding receiver?

The Beomaster 2000 sounded very good. Change the midrangey X35 speakers to something else and it's a good sound to live with for 3 years. I did that with the whole system 2000. Yes the '80 es version. The Beomaster 6000 does have power and clear ness. I use Beovox M150 speakers and those are the best pair that I have ever had. Very tight bass

  • Re: Recording vx7000 vcr on my pc

I am actually looking at the Dazzle stuff at the moment. It looks like the right thing I need. I do have cables the convert the scart to single leads. Vista does need some software for basic video stuff I think. I haven't really opend movie maker yet but will do.

  • Recording vx7000 vcr on my pc

So my Pc is now rebuilt to at least 2007 standards. I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit. Now I got some stuff on VHS that I would like to transfer to my pc for safe keeping/dvd copy kind of deal. My question is on how to take the signal out of the LX5500/VX7000 combination to the pc? The LX has a S video but the VX does not. What do I use
