I think the only real negative thing on Beosound 5 is its price. If they sell the complete system at 3000 Euro it would be a very great deal and attract more customers. It's important that they improve mechanical quality. I realy like the BS5 and I'm going to buy one and support my dealer :-) We shouldn't discuss about issues with other

Mr10Percent: The contrast screen can be easily unscrewed from the rear and cleaned. . However, that is not the point. . . 10% Ok, so that's no problem. But what about B&Os service policy when this thing has dead pixels?

Good evening, personaly I'm thinking of getting some BRANDO screen protectors and cut them to fit on the Beo 5. They're anti-glare and have a high quality! In my opinion the best protectors for PDAs and mobile phones.

Stars: Noticed two problems on the BeoSound 5 at my local dealer. There are some dead pixels on the LCD and dust has gathered underneath the glass and is now trapped there. This has especially built up under the edge of the glass where it is curved for the circular dials. I know the BeoSound 5 at the dealer is still a model in development before early

TripEnglish: It does, however, seem to be an issue for many of my customers and so it is, by default, and issue for me. If there are people willing to pay a premium for manufacturing in DK, then it's a demand we should be prepared to meet. Armani-Jacket made in China says clearly: "Customer, thank you for beeing so dumb to give us your money

How to save them: "Made in Denmark" = back to their roots for which B&O is loved and accepted. "Made in Czech" is simply crap ... I don't pay the high prices for equipment made in Czech! This is just fooling the customer for higher profits! Have a look at BOSE with its new and CHEAP made in china look and feel. Pay money

I agree with some of your points, too. But in my opinion the physical design and engineering is the personal favorite for choosing Bang & Olufsen. Look at the iPhone: It's just amazing when it's powered on. When shut off it's just a fine plate of glass. I LOVE the physical experience on the Beosound 5, the Beo 5 or the Beosound 3000

bayerische: Vertu = Nokia... But they understood to leave the Nokia logo out. Yes, you're right. And with that Vertu-Logo they suddenly understand about real quality And as mentioned right above: The Serene still stands out from the crowd because of its design. That's the good point :-)

TripEnglish: Depending on what part you're looking at and from what angle, you mights see shapes like a circle, convex lens, hourglass, and half cylinder. Lights? Yes. Aluminum? Yes. LCD display? Yes. Let your imaginations run wild. Arrrgg, bad guy! Don't torture us so much! Please show us a photo!!!!!
