There are several different types of Masterlink connector/distribution boxes available from many retailers. Below are three examples The are just junction/distribution boxes and have no seperate power.

Graham, With regards to the early AVANT's I have to agree with Tim & Nick, the reliability of the tubes was not good with common problems including arcing between electrodes and one colour often red showing as a dominating colour. Also remember that around the time of the early AVANT's Philips became a major shareholder of B&O.

Hello Beoandy, I regret to confirm your problem and I have not found a work around to the issue yet. It is very disappointing that extra functionality has been added to the Beo5 Configuration Tool which has caused previously working functions to be unavailable. Whilst I think it was intended that the version 3.0 should be backward compatible with configurations

For those people who missed it the forum was unavailable for 20 minutes from 2am UK time last night for a full backup. The full backup was successful.

Early tomorrow morning, Wednesday 8th July at 2am UK time a full backup of the SQL database will be performed and service will be interrupted for up to 30 minutes while this task takes place. It is essential that we do regular full backups as well as the normal incremetal backups as the SQL database holds every word ever posted by members on the forum

I can confirm Trips advice that the Beovision 3 will work in the US provided you use a STB and do not try and use the analogue tuner. Certainly you will need to use a step down mains transformer and the different mains frequency will not be an issue. Sony original remotes transmit the IR binary command string 3 times for any single command press
