The 5500 is a very close predecessor to the 6500 with the added benefit of having many more inputs (they are mirrored in DIN & RCA/phono). Don't read too much into the output specifications as B&O basically used a different rating system when the 6500 was released and there really isn't much to choose between them. It doesn't have

I just repaired, Beocenter 9000 CD. Changing caps did not help, so I found used CDM4/19 transport, and put it's laser unit to 9000's CDM2/10. And it works beautifully. Of course must check adjustments to make it perfect. ps. these transports are found for ex. older Philips players

Hi Tony & welcome to Beoworld I'm not in the slightest surprised at the quote your local B&O store gave you. Most dealer service centres simply change whole sections/modules as they really don't have the expertise to work at component level. It is difficult to give an exact diagnosis without having it on the bench but I wouldn't

Click back on "compose" to continue typing if you need. Chris

A Beo 4 will work perfectly well with your system as it uses the same codes as the BL 1000. Depending on the version there may be a couple of combinations on the buttons required to select certain things EG... Phono. If you don't have a modern B&O TV you want to use it with then the earliest versions with the AV button are easiest to use with
BE HONEST AND SAID THAT YOU NEVER SHIP !!! YOU DID'T PROVE ANY SHIPMENT !! PLEASE
Paolo - You were given fair warning about using profanities in your replies and in response to you ignoring this I have had no choice other than to delete your 2 previous posts. As I have previously stated, you are welcome to

Sorted It was the 7" tonearm set down adjuster cam which had snapped off (the drive cord/cable wraps round this and is part of the pully mechanism). Managed to drill & secure with a small crew from underneath. It was a right royal pain in the a**e though Chris.
