Hi, Of course, I'd be interested too, although mine seemed correctly aligned. And the azimuth tape would be another interesting bonus ! Tell me Dimitri, what sort of noise does you motor make? Jacques

  • Re: Beocord 2200 advice

Hello everyone, I have now almost finished my Beocord 2200. I re-lubricated the motor because I could see it stop immediately when I switched the power off, instead of going on a bit. I just hope it will survive, but I'm confident because the innards were clean (no dust) and the brushes looked new. Anyway it became quieter in the process. The only

I've recently bought a new old stock MMC20CL cartridge. It was corroded! I've now got a nice screwdriver, a nice brush, nice scales, a nice cartridge adapter and a nice frequency curve all in a nice acrylic box! Ah, and there's a new diamond tip too! And I did pay 20€! Jacques

  • Idler rubber tires for Beocords

Hello everyone, I was wondering... I am looking for rubber tires for my cassette Beocords. The original ones are of course no longer available, so I was wondering whether replacements were available. I found these companies, all American of course... http://www.studiosoundelectronics.com/it.htm http://www.smcelectronics.com/vcridt.htm They seem to supply

  • Re: Beocord 9000 auto-calibration

Oh no, I have loads of cassettes of different vintages, from 1971 to 2010, but the majority of my stock dates from the 80's and 90's. The Sony HF are new though! Jacques

  • Re: Beocord 9000 auto-calibration

Hello, Does anybody know why I get end-of-tape wow? This is a shame because I really do get great, subtle recordings (although bass seems a little overblown on some tapes). Rewind and FF pose no problem and the belts are new. On a different subject, I also noticed the deck doesn't like BASF CRII tapes which have such an irregular response (+3 dB

  • Re: Beocord 2200 power switch problem

Hello to all, I still have my defective power switch but I managed to make some recordings by turning the belt by 90 degrees so that the motor pulley imprint is less audible. I modified the input by lowering the level (by adding 470 k resistors to the AMP input). No passive or active components were replaced. The motor speed was wrong (too slow) and
