Yes, I think you need speakerlink cables available from B&O dealers or www.soundsheavenly.co.uk

I too prefer the visual effect of BL1 vs BL9.If you are going to make a statement then make a STATEMENT! Not sure I'd want the green 6000's though........but what a boring world if we all had the same taste. Blue BL1's and 6000's are a different story!

[quote user="Dave"] I'm surprised this hasn't come up, i searched the forums and found nothing; the cable between the socket box and the unit, is very short! I'll be putting it on it's floor stand when the rest of my belongings arrive. Are there longer cables readily available? Soundsheavenly don't sppear to stock them

Sorry no, that is not the correct relay. The board pictured is the CD on/off relay. The "mute" relay is on board 60, the power supply and output amplifier.

Sometimes the refusal to recognise the presence of a cd is caused by a dirty laser. I would clean the laser with a cotton bud damped in iso propanol. If that doesn't cure it you are looking at £200+ to replace the CD mechanism. I suspect that the door mechanism problems are unrelated to the above.

It's in the service manual!

The door mech problem could well be mechanical. The problem with the failure to start a CD is more complex and may require a considerable amount of time and know how or the replacement of the CD mechanism and interface board. Both these options are likely to be expensive. Where are you?
