What's wrong with Scart? It can carry RGB signals which are as good as SD gets. B&O have good reasons for not moving into the Blu-Ray market yet. I personally have found all Blu-Ray players to be very clunky.

Why not FLAC or Apple Lossless?

I rip at 256k AAC which sounds fantastic to my ears. Then again, 256k MP3 doesn't sound as impressive, I'd want to rip at 320k to get the sound I want. I haven't heard it yet, but the sound interface in the BeoSound 5 is of B&O's own design. They've taken it's sonic performance very, very seriously.

Listen again, and this time listen to see whether it sounds like the sound has been added in 'fakely' or whether it sounds as though the effects are genuinely coming from behind you (ie, not from a speaker).

Standing next to the BeoCenter 1, push: Standby + List at the same time Use up + down buttons until OPTION? is flashing on remote display. Push Go Do the same until V.OPT? is flashing on remote display. Push Go Push 1 This should stop the BeoCenter 1 from responding to the 'Radio' command, assuming this is what you want to happen.

I think the best solution is going to be an Apple TV with the component > RGB adapter...

Why not try it out? Prop the speakers up where they're going to go, run PowerLink across the floor and see how you think it sounds.
