A lot of these SD v HD discussions are from people trying to convince themselves they don't *need* to move to a HD television. Perhaps if you have an Avant - and you do not want a larger screen - then it's a valid standpoint. However, I have a BV7-40 and ideally would like a 46". SD already looks fairly poor on the 40" and will be
This dose work but it was demonstrated to me on a trip to the B&o factory that it deteriorates the picture .
Of course it does....it stretches the picture slightly. I found that you also lose up to 2cm from the side of regular TV (ie. BBC1), so this isn't a wise choice.

BV9 is a good choice - but get one second hand. Don't spend £16K on a new one. No way. Madness!

I don't think you can put a price on this Simon nor should we ask members for a price everytime someone on this board wants to value their kit - just get an idea of what other people are trying to sell their BV7-40 MKIII and go in at the top end of these prices. If you can't sell, then consider reducing the price somewhat. Something is only
However, if I had a major fault like my TV crashing I would think differently, but like I said, it doesn't, and I can easily live with a bit of blue down the side of the image
I think my MKIV is crashing due to some bizarre HDCP issue involving the BV7-40->Sky->BV8 setup I have, across two rooms. If
When I turn my TV on I am pleased by the motor stand, the curtains, the picture and sound quality, the feel of the remote in my hand. To me these things...
Oh dear. Do you have the same feeling when your TV crashes when watching Sky? It happens here. I'm left holding the remote in my hand, whilst watching

It doesn't do it 'sometimes', it does it all of the time on many Sky channels. Plus, to be fair, the blue lines are about 2cm wide, each side. Pretty poor for modern programme on a £10,000 TV.

What do you mean bounce bounce? I hate it when people do that - we've given you both the options and our opinion. What else are you looking for? If you're prepared to compromise on the sound, keep the 6000s.
Wondering why B&O can not get a blue ray DVD in the 32" version ? I guess anyone would be mad to purchase a 32 with standard DVD ? Am I missing something ?
Well, you might not experience an improved picture on the 32", but you will get better audio......that's if the B&O Blu-ray player
I have had an ongoing issue with dark blue lines showing up on either side of the 7-40 when watching some Sky channels; Living and Virgin are particular culprits. My 7-40 is the Mark III model and was updated 2 weeks ago to the latest software version which I was hoping might fix things, but it hasn't. [/quote
