I think you will find the "guts" of most equipment is made by other manufacturers. Most audiophile CD players actually use CD ROM drives which seems perverse. I am not a big fan of the BS1 which I feel has a limited stereo sound stage and being only FM means that it has limited appeal to me, but recognise it as filling a definite niche as

Is this the table charger? Mine looks like this. The cable goes under the circuit board and attaches to the wires as shown. Thinking about things, it comes with a two pin plug anyway so I don't think it makes any difference! Mine is changed to a three pin simply to fit our plugs.

Surprised at that. Every product I have bought has been cosmetically perfect and with very few exceptions has worked perfectly as well. I don't have a BS1 but those I have seen have usually looked good. I wouldn't get a white one (I believe you looked at one of those) as I don't think the painted finish sounds a very good idea. Isn't the Avatar from the My Products page of the Official site? (Yes, they do list the Beolab 5000!) I put the Beolab on top for the vents reason and the fact that it is easier to change the plugs. That is one big disadvantage of the big heat sink at the back! And the Beolab 5000 is not exactly a lightweight!

The user manual is on. The service manual is edited but too big for me to upload so I will put it on disc and send it to Lee. I do have one other thought about uploading it which I will try!

At a guess those are threads in the moderators forum! We only realised about a week ago that they showed up on the home page! Had to title the threads carefully!
