Well it definitely was not designed to have a broken leg It might not be the only problem, but start there. The power supply of the CD section will be very unstable with that filter cap missing.

The easiest way is to switch the Beolabs to line mode and connect them to the "pre amp" connectors on the Beomaster. All you need is a long RCA cable.
