Well, I'll be a bit more optimistic! As the new-old (thinking like BS4500 and 7000, etc...) two-way were all driven from BL1000 coding -why wouldn't it work!? I could finally retire a semi-functional BL7000 to display status! ...and B&o would sell one of their new-fangled products to this old curmudgeon!
Well, I guess I'll be relegated to using it in the charger as well!
I never put my BL7000 back together after these threads -hoping that someone might have a solution. In the meantime... any confirmation from users that the BL7000 remains stable when used solely from the charging stand?
No really, I don't think you can work or clean them without opening the speaker (which isn't actually that big a job).
Thanks Mika! I couldn't for the life of me recall if they could be worked in and out! I wouldn't be near them for a few days to even try. The thought actually crossed my mind
No, I haven't touched them at all. What should I do then?
Reset them... see what happens. I can't recall if you can "work" them in and out, but I can in a few days!
Or am I the only guy who yelled at his college roommates for putting cassette cases on the turntable dust cover?
You should have been present when a "friend" placed his ginormous 7-11 BIG GULP down on top of my MINT BC7000 TT lid!

Have you fiddled w/ the protection circuit reset buttons? They can oxidize. They have a tendency to cause issues not unlike what you describe.
-
What about backwards compatibility w/ the old two-way systems?

Congrats on the 5000's j0hn! It always brings a smile to my face when a member gets something they have been looking for! I am looking forward to your testing results. -OH, and some of your excellent pics!

I have been fiddling recently with a very similar project using MCL2P's and passive speakers ...both in-wall and wall mount in a room about the same size. It is very much a work in progress and may actually be moved yet again! I only have the centers and fronts hooked up currently and will probably not go any further until I decide on its final
I know several people who swear by the current Panasonic range
I would place myself in that camp. Outside of B&o -I am brand loyal to Panasonic. The good Doctor brings up a valid point... at current prices the Avant/BV3 offers a great deal!
