I post occasionally on a headphone forum www.head-fi.org where any posts about double-blind testing of cables are banned and anyone who make such a post is under threat of explusion because it causes so many arguments so I will tread carefully! The question that I have never really got to grips with about very very high end cables (I am talking about

Mat Welcome to Beoworld! Values for older Beocenbters will vary widely depending on condition, and the fact that it needs a new stylus won;t help the valuation. My very rough estimate is that you would get somewhere in the region of £30-£70.on eBay depending on condition and luck. A lot of pics with the unit looking nice will help. My advice

I have a Beolab 1700 at the heart of a vintage B&O system in the study upstairs and I like it a lot. They do crop up on ebay from time to time (maybe once every couple of months) and tend to go for between £10 and £30 depending on condition so that might be a viable option. I paid £10 for mine and it is an absolute bargain for

Hello and welcome to the forum. It would be worth PM'ing Martin (username Dillen) to see what he can do for you as he has a lot of expertise in this area. He is based in Denmark but is a great source of hard to find parts and does a mail order repairs service. Alternatively you could send the drive units away for a rebuild to Recone labs: http:

Hi Ian I am on the Wirral too and have an assortment of older B&O kit, inclusing a Beolab 1700 that you could try plugging your turntable into and a Beogram 1700 that you could plug into your Beocenter. Drop me a PM and we'll see what we can organise! Simon

My 2p worth would be to merge beogram and vintage forums as there isn't really enough traffic for them to need to be in seperate forums and many of the posts in Vintage are about Beograms anyway. As far as 25 years old goes, i see it as a guideline not a rule. I wouldn't see it as a problem if (for example) someone posted about a 19-year old

I recently paid £60 for an LX2800 in excellent condition which was probably slightly on the high side but it was fairly local to me and the remote was fairly new and in mint condition. You would struggle to get anything like that much if you don't have the remote. I paid £12.50 for my LX2502 in less good condition. Unless you are struggling

Often on ebay I regret bidding too much ,but occasionally I regret stopping too early. These larger Bovoxes are hard to find in good nick, the consolation is I can't imagine my better half would have been too impressed when I walked in the house with speakers as big as these, so maybe it was a good thing after all! I emailed the seller beforehand

I thnk you might be the lucky individual who outbid me on these! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PAIR-OF-B-O-BEOVOX-S150-SPEAKERS-WITH-STANDS_W0QQitemZ180161906930QQihZ008QQcategoryZ14993QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem You can see from the pictures that they are the M 150 Simon

I am not a heavy user of mobile phones and rarely have strong opinions on them, but I really don't like my K800i ! On the plus side it is loaded with features and has far and away the best camera I have ever seen on a mobile, but visually and ergonomically it is a bit of a nightmare. It is forever turning itself on when I put it in my pocket, and
