Film mode for me, once i got used to it, really cleans up the images and makes the movement incredibly natural. Seems to work wonders on CRT but not quite right on LCD. Would never turn it off again!

Does anybody know if the white sound deadening material / foam that you find in most BeoLabs is available, or a similar substitute? I want to line my BL1's with it.

Yep no problem there; the option can be found in the Monitor part of the SM under picture adjustments. Take your time, this is how it's done on type 8805 - should be the same - With your Beo4, press: MENU, 3, 0, 0, GO, 1, 3, 9, (toggle between) ON / OFF, press GO > and EXIT out, being careful not to change anything else Have you just started
