  • Re: 32 AVANT SLOW TO RESPOND

Matt, Your problem is NOT related to option settings. It is likely that one of the data wires at a Masterlink connection has an intermittent short or high resistance to ground which will cause the protocol handshaking to start over again as if you were powering everything up from scratch. That's why it has such a large delay. Are all the Masterlink

Matt, What is the exact configuration of your masterlink ? Is the wiring daisy chained from product to product ? if so what is the order of the from the master AVANT ? I will repeat myself, how often does the problem occur, is it:- All the time when all products are connected to the masterlink. Intermittently when all products are connected to the masterlink

  • Re: 32 AVANT SLOW TO RESPOND

Hello Matt and a very warm welcome to Beoworld. There can be many reasons for the type of problem you have described. Firstly, is your AVANT connected to any other products via the Masterlink ? If the answer is Yes, then my first suggested step is to power down the AVANT at the mains plug and remove the Masterlink cable, then power up the AVANT again

  • Re: Beo 5 IR to RF converter

The problem currently with consumer RF remotes is the lack of any standards. In fact the leading consumer electronics companies like Panasonic, Philips, Samsung and Sony have realised the problem. Working together, they have launched the RF4CE Alliance that is establishing a worldwide standard for RF-remote controls. The frequency band selected for

  • Re: Initial Review of Beo5 Configuration Tool Version 3.0.0.2

The action is correct because the Beolab 2000 is a link product, so it will be forced to create the same buttons for both products which it cannot do in the same zone. An example of the same buttons are TV and DTV. If you add the Beovision 6 to the Kitchen and then drag the Beolab 2000 over, it asks if it is OK to add a zone, if you accept it, it will
  • Re: Beo 5 and UPC box Netherlands

Jan, There are two types of XML product control files for 3rd party products. There are the standard configured files found in the Beo5 Configuration Tool which sends B&O control signals to a Beovision which has a PUC or STB-C. These B&O control signals are translated by the PUC or STB-C and sent to the STB. These are XML control files which
  • Re: Beoline PSTN Firmware Version

Last time I purchased a Beocom 6000 upgrade kit it cost around £60 If you decide to purchase a Beocom 2, then your base will need to have software version 2.5 which I am sure the dealer will upgrade for free, if needed as part of the purchase.

  • Re: Beoline PSTN Firmware Version

Unless you have the very earlest Beoline bases, a Mark II Beocom 6000 will work with your current base. That is why bases are rarely updated except to fix a few small issues which most people don't see. You can also have Mark I and Mark II handsets working on the same base. You can also have your Mark I handsets upgraded to Mark II's with a
