Interesting reaction. I personally think Iphone control of my B&O is a waste of space but peeps here were drooling over that - and now its too expensive now we get it. I guess they can only looose ....
I don't know... I think that it is a bit of a win for them. If you have

So you need to spend ~2000 Euro to be able to use your free iPhone App to control your B&O! Still, it's a start and what a lot of people have been asking for

If they are Beolab's then they're active speakers and have the amps built in. Read HERE If driven from a B&O source the displays will indicate system related info. They can be driven from a non-B&O source (at line level) but the digital info to the displays will be missing.
Thanks for the info, I'll place them somewhere safe first thing tomorrow. They were part of a recording studio which was removed in an insurance claim...apparently they were in working order prior to removal. Any ideas on what they may be worth for quick sale?
that looks like that would suit your room perfectly i think you should go for it.
I'm not so sure. I think it visually overpowers the Lab 3's. The "BV10" looks a lot less domineering.
I'm also pretty convinced that the BS5 is essentially nothing but a display panel and a USB HID device (mouse and/or keyboard).
Disabling MOTS if you haven't bought a BS5 is a different issue - very sneaky on B&O's part if it is indeed true.
Not particularly
-
..................... I was told that MOTS was implemented in the BS5 not the BM5 so I delayed my purchase
I would be very suprised if this was true! I can see how they can only allow MOTS to run if a BS5 is connected but it seems crazy that you would engineer it such that all of the required audio analysis
