The question is why? Most people agree that below 42" full HD as it is called is not a huge advance and the number of pixels can actually make SD broadcasts worse. Now having said that, there will always be advances and the next generation will be better. But that too will be eclipsed by the one after that. As almost all sources you will receive

Got the scanner working but not happy with my first attempt! Service manuals are clearly going to be large - 10Mb + in pdf form. Plan to do the Beomaster 6000 quad first!

Yes!! To select the sources with a Beolink 1000, you need the following commands: For the CD socket - SHIFT,RADIO,6 For the Tape input - SHIFT,RADIO,7. A Beogram will need a RIAA amplifier to work, mind you.

Yes. When I had mine they updated the software and the firmware. At a guess, a dealer will need to do it for you.

The loose panels will just be because the front has slid forward. They will fix back in - if you know how!

A reasonable thought but a second hand pair of 4000s will cost about the same as 4s and seem much better value for money. The ones I have in the sitting room are blue as well so would not match the room very well. Good thought though!

Better quality vinyl and so quieter - though mine could do with a good deep clean! - and I used to think it sounded more detailed. I am not sure my ears are up to telling the difference now!

symmes: Flash memory is already on the market at 8g and testing at 32g. Prediction: Hard drives on portable devices will be a thing of the past in 5 years. Unless, of course, you want your customers' machine to break every year or so. Built in obsolescence! I suppose if they are cheap enough, this is the way to keep selling!
