Just had a look at this. I think this is probably an internal reference to the position where the service booklet should be kept! I can find no reference to a Beovox 5 and the Beolab 8000 speaker is now quite old so it would have emerged some time ago! Nice thought though!

Not really! However there are other solutions - you could look at Lintronic who do a control device so that almost any device can be controlled with a B&O remote. To power the Beolab speakers, you just need variable line level from the surround sound processor but you will need to find out which one is best. One of the points of B&O is the seamless

I am in discussion with them at present about doing silver instead of black MMC20 cartridges! So I know what you mean! However the Voice cartridge does seem something special so I could be tempted!

Excellent system - oak is quite unusual - not seen S80s in that finish! Should be lovely. I dare say she will need new belts soon for the cassette!

The 3200 is on, I think, which uses the same door mechanism.

No problem having four or more speakers as the output from the BS9000 is variable line level. The power amplifiers are in the speakers. You can actually daisy chain the speakers - that is one lead from the BS9000 to one speaker, and then a lead from that speaker to the next and so on. Powerlink cables carry both right and left signals and you select
