Sorry to hear that.You are left with the option of setting both to max and using the non B&O remote. Or buying a B&O system. We may well add this to the FAQ section for future reference. Thank you for letting us know.

Yes! *#1234# brings up the main software version. *#1111# brings up the Firmware.

It is a little problematic as they would work normally in different ways. The BL5 is designed so it can take line level from other makes and then, using a Beo4, control the volume via the BL5. The BS9000 however would control the volume itself and the BL5 simply acts as a power amplifier. I am sure there is a way and it will probably involve using the

Possibly a question for Coolskin, but any answers welcome. I am looking at getting a new Soundsmith SMMC20CL+ but want it to be silver to match the arm of my Beogram 4000. The bodies are made in plastic which is black. I have discussed this briefly with Soundsmith who have thought of nickel plating it. Anyone have any other ideas? Needs to be preferably

I have quite a few CLs (!!) but my SMMC20EN sounds better than any of them!

Have personal experience. My CLs don't track as well as they used to and my earlier quad cartridges despite having decent styluses won't track CD4 records which need a cartridge that can track at 45kHz. I have offered to test a CL for Soundsmith in the past but it must have got lost in the post!! I am planning to buy a 20CL+ if I can get it

It will reset itself! If you enter 5 incorrect guesses, it refuses to have anything to do with you for 3 hours. It will then let you have another go. Let the owner reset it then! I am sure they won't mind as you have done no damage but saved them electricity!

You need a female 2 pin DIN socket. Probably available on the Internet. In the UK, Maplin sells them .

I have a number though the numbers are an internal reference number by B&O. I have all my manuals labelled in a different system made to aid posting them! No idea what 3538717 is - maybe the Penta?
