For those interested, I have scanned and uploaded a rare Product Information manual for the Beocenter AV5. For owners of this cult set, it is a must! And also for those in need of sleep, the technical manual for the quad Beomaster 6000-2702!

Rounded almost cup like structures with a small upright section attached to the wall. The wiring goes through the stands and you lose the foot of the 6000. Look very nice (far better than my description!)

I would get it fixed! It will probably be capacitors or a variable resistor or two. The 5000 is in many ways the best of the series and is well worth fixing. Tim Jarman at Beocentral could do it or maybe a volunteer amongst our many members in the North!

Did they show you the wall monts for the Beolab 6000s? They seem quite neat.

Almost all the later tangentials are as is the Beogram 5000 radial. The Beograms 8000 and 8002 are as well and a few others which I doubt you would consider. Of more relevance is the possession of a RIAA built in which you don't want. The 3500, 4500, 6500 and 7000 all usually have one so avoid these. I would suggest a Beogram 3000 tangential. Probably

The user manual is actually on site. You need a female din to two RCA lead.

Nokias do seem to be rather good at this. Our family have now flushed three phones , all Nokias, and all are still working! The secret is to take them apart quickly and let them dry. Don't try and use them when at all damp.

You could try resetting the handset - I can let you know how to do this tonight - I am at work and I will need to check the procedure!

I realise that this might be better suited to the Beogram section, but i wanted as wide an audience as possible. As we all know, Soundsmith make new cartridges to replace the MMC1-5 and the MMC20/MMCX000 ranges. They are really rather superb hand made cartridges and I will happily vouch that they sound better than the originals. (And no, i have not
