Spanner Dont do anything stupid, we have to save these ikonic pieces, or get them into the hands of people who loves them, where are you situated, maybe we can find some help near you. Please dont scrap them, maybe someone will be willing to give you another working system in change for yours, or try to sell them here on the forum.

The connection from BV 5000 has a cap before the connector, 4.7 uF, the connector cut of the inbuild tweeters, but the inbuild tweeter has a coil, 0.2 mH, does the original cubes have a coil in the crossover ??

Take a look here a 8 ohm tweeter, needs 6.3 uF for filter at 3000 Hz

Bipolar electrolytic will do.
